How to Take An Effective Mental Health Day
Self Care & Our Wellbeing.
So often clients will tell me “I don’t have time for self care.” Self care is necessary for us to be better parents, better partners, perform our jobs to the best of our ability, and live a happier life. Finding balance is the key to not feeling overwhelmed and like every day is “groundhog day.” When clients allow themselves an opportunity to “recharge their batteries” I hear how much more efficient in their jobs they become, how their interaction with their family improves and how their overall outlook on life changes for the better. Some examples of self care are: taking a short walk, enjoying the sunshine, playing with our pets or having a lunch date with a friend. By integrating these simple and enjoyable tasks into our lives, we create balance, have a more positive outlook and improve our relationships with others.
